Part of Miami University’s expansive design curriculum includes a semester-long studio where designers, architects, and interior designers come together to create an innovative and creative space. During my time in the interdisciplinary studio, our class was tasked with taking the old Oxford Library and creating a live-work space for art students of a chosen discipline at Miami. Our group chose to highlight the new Fashion Design minor program, creating a live-work community that would house these students for one semester while they completed their own collections, culminating in a fashion show at the end of the semester.

This space not only featured bright, open work and living spaces, but also a cafe, bar, and boutique store where Miami University students to sell their creation to other students and residents of Oxford.
